Sociëteit De Dieu (“we”, “our”, or “us”), located at Langestraat 114, 1811 JK Alkmaar, operates the DeDieu mobile application (the “App”) and the website www.dedieu.nl. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our App and website. Why we need camera access: To allow you to take or upload photos for your profile and event photos.
How we handle photos: Photos you take or select are uploaded to our secure servers and may be visible to other users within the App according to your privacy settings.
Your control: You can revoke camera access at any time through your device settings and you can delete photos from your profile at any time.
When you choose to add events to your device calendar, we request calendar access. This permission is used only to add event information when you explicitly request it. We do not read or access other calendar events.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
We use Auth0 for secure authentication. Your login credentials are managed by Auth0 according to their privacy policy. We receive only basic profile information necessary for App functionality.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information and to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure, and unauthorized modification. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. After termination or inactivity, data may be retained only as required by law. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time.

Our App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we collected information about a minor without appropriate consent, please contact us at secretariaat@dedieu.nl, and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date.

Sociëteit De Dieu maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE). Any content or behavior that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers children is strictly prohibited on our services (app and website).
If you encounter possible CSAE or a safety concern, please report it directly from the app via:
Reports can be submitted without leaving the app. We acknowledge receipt and take appropriate actions in accordance with this policy.
We act in accordance with applicable Dutch and EU laws on child protection and online safety, and we align our internal procedures with international best practices.
These standards apply to our app (category Social) and website. CSAE includes any behavior or content that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers children (e.g., grooming, sextortion, trafficking). CSAM (Child Sexual Abuse Material) refers to images or text depicting or promoting such exploitation or abuse.
